Full time Workflow Administrator
We are a friendly, forward-thinking GMS training practice in attractive rural villages within Overton, Oakley and Kingsclere, in Hampshire. We serve over 19,000 patients and our population is expected to rise further with local building programmes due to take place within our area.
We are currently looking for a full-time workflow administrator at Overton Surgery / Kingsclere Health Centre / Oakley Surgery – a car driver and being flexible is essential as you will be working across all three sites to support our busy practices.
One of the many tasks of the patient workflow administrator is to process clinical correspondence safely, ensuring that it is accurately coded. You will ensure you pass appropriate issues to GPs and other members of the practice clinical team in line with agreed clinical protocols. The role also encompasses other administrative tasks which requires the ability to have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with our patients on a frequent basis.
The ideal candidate should be flexible and have an adaptive approach to working and learning. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with a positive attitude, calm approach and the ability to work under pressure. The workload constantly requires prioritising as meeting deadlines is essential.
As a practice we pride ourselves on great teamwork, ensuring a welcoming and positive working environment. Importantly we focus on being proactive and provide excellent patient centred care.
As we are a training practice we have embedded a culture of training, teaching, staff development and learning. Our Partnership actively supports and encourages our team to develop therefore we are committed to provide the necessary training for the right candidate to undertake this role.
Informal discussion, please contact Mrs Sarah Arnold, Practice Manager on

CVD Care Coordinator
The Rural West Primary Care Network (PCN) is looking to recruit a second cardiovascular disease (CVD) Care Co-ordinator, to work alongside the existing CVD care co-ordinator and as part of our PCN’s wider team to enhance our friendly, busy network of practices. The Network consists of two GP Partnerships in north Hampshire; Tadley Medical Partnership and
Watership Down Health, with surgeries in Kingsclere, Overton, Oakley and Tadley.
The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to patients across the Rural West PCN with long-term Conditions (LTC); specifically, those people with cardiovascular disease (CVD), high blood pressure, heart disease and strokes. This is a non-clinical role, but the successful candidate will play a key role in proactively identifying and working with these patients, their families and carers to improve the ongoing management of their condition.
The postholder will work closely with the GPs, nurses and the wider practice teams, to make sure that patients with CVD receive the very best care and reviews according to individual need. The role involves giving patients the opportunity for health reviews to manage and improve their long-term health and wellbeing, as well as encouraging those less engaged.
This non-clinical role is administrative rather than patient facing, but patient contact by phone is a key element, as the role involves organising appointments directly with the patients. The postholder will provide support to patients as a regular point of contact for CVD related needs, as well as supporting the clinical teams as they provide patient care. This will
include managing blood pressure information coming into our sites.
The postholder will enable registered patients to access the services and support they require to meet their health and wellbeing needs, helping to improve people’s quality of life. They will work alongside our social prescribing link workers and health and wellbeing coaches to provide an all-encompassing approach to personalised care and enable people to navigate
through the health and care system. The postholder will also work with a diverse range of people from different cultural and social backgrounds.
Applicants will need excellent administration, interpersonal and communication skills and be organised, motivated and empathetic. The ability to work confidently and effectively in a varied and sometimes challenging environment is essential. The postholder will preferably have
experience of working in a primary care setting, ideally in health, social care or other support roles.
Please see the job description (PDF) and person specification on NHS Jobs for more detail.
The post is full time i.e. 37.5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays and is predominantly surgery based. It requires travel across the network to the surgeries of both partnerships, so flexibility of working and access to private transport is essential.
Please apply for this post via Indeed or NHS Jobs: www.jobs.nhs.uk reference
number: A2237-25-0006
The closing date for applications is Sunday 3rd August 2025 and we expect to interview on Wednesday 13th August 2025.
