Update on Mountjaro in General Practice

We are aware that it has been announced that Mounjaro is available from the NHS from today.

Watership Down Health cannot begin to prescribe this for patients until we have the permission and funding from our Commissioning Board.

Once permission has been granted, Mountjaro will only be available to those who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 40 and 4 out of the 5 following:

  • Hypertension
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • High Cholesterol
  • Previous heart attack or angina 
  • Sleep Apnoea
