Our Practice is taking part in a research study over the coming months.
The study will explore how supportive text messages sent to asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients may improve their condition. If you are over 18 years of age, have asthma and/or COPD, and have been prescribed a preventer inhaler, you may receive a text message from us inviting you to sign up to the study.
If you do receive an invitation and if you decide to sign up (it is completely optional), you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your asthma or COPD via text message a couple of times over the next 6 months. Some patients will also receive some additional text messages with information and advice about asthma and/or COPD.
