Health Hub Autumn Vaccination News
We are at high risk – Message to patients
Medical settings are a higher risk environment and are subject to more control measures than other public facilities.
We are acting very cautiously and are maintaining: Social distancing; Face coverings; PPE for healthcare staff.
The Omicron variant is easily transmitted and patients may come to the surgery when they are contagious. It is our duty to do all we can to keep both our patients and our staff safe whilst we deliver our care.
Autumn Vaccination Programme
The vaccination programme is now solely located at:
The Health Hub, Festival place, Basingstoke, RG21 7BA
Information about the programme can be found here https://www.thehealthhubbasingstoke.co.uk/
Vaccines are bookable by appointment only. Walk ins are not offered during this period. Appointments can be booked by NBS which is available by calling 119 or visiting www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination
The Health Hub will be administering both Covid and Flu vaccinations for our eligible patients.
Vaccination is also available for those who are housebound – Watership Down Health are arranging this.
We would ask patients to consider carefully whether they are able to travel to the site at Festival Place (or be assisted to do so) as our general practice services are under extreme pressure and the vaccination service is in addition to our normal work.
Eligibility can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-autumn-booster-resources/a-guide-to-the-covid-19-autumn-booster#who-is-being-offered-an-autumn-booster
